Kathie and Steve's
Whichever way you are coming to us, you will all turn onto Waternish at the Fairy Bridge turn; this is the junction between the A850 and the B886. We are about 4 miles from here. You will not see a sign for Dunhallin, look for Hallin.
Follow the B886 from Fairy Bridge for approx. 3 miles up to a T junction. Do not turn down into Stein (unless you need a drink already!), turn right at the T junction and follow the road past Skye Skyns.
You will see a war memorial up on your right and then the Village Hall, also on the right; this is where the road sign for Hallin is.
Take the third small road to the right, up the side of our garden with ranch style fencing around it; our B&B sign is in the corner of the garden. Turn right through the first gate that you come to onto our drive. Come to the door up the steps.
For those who are not familiar with Skye, here are directions for how you get to Fairy Bridge:
Immediately after crossing the Skye Bridge, turn right on the A87 going through Broadford to Sligachan.
Turn left at Sligachan onto the A863 and head towards Dunvegan. At Dunvegan turn right onto the A850 towards Portree. After about 4 miles, turn left onto the B886, this is known as Fairy Bridge, and you are now on the road on the Waternish peninsula. (You can go from Sligachan into Portree and come the other way around, but I think that the route via Dunvegan has the better views.)
From Uig, travel South on the A87 towards Portree.
Just after Kensaleyre turn right onto the B8036 and then right again on to the A850, heading for Dunvegan. If you miss the B road, continue for another mile or two and turn right directly onto the A850.
Continue until you see signs for Waternish and turn right at Fairy Bridge onto the B886, you are now on the road on the Waternish peninsula.
Travel north on to A851 towards Broadford. When you get to the junction with the A87, turn left towards Broadford and continue to Sligachan.
Turn left at Sligachan onto the A863 and head towards Dunvegan. At Dunvegan turn right onto the A850 towards Portree.
