Hello to all those out there like us who will NOT be watching the Football World Cup. This is NOT a football fans house and so you should be safe to visit here to stay away from it all! Looking forward to your visit.

This is a fantastic time of the year for flowers here on Waternish, Skye - here is an example of bluebells in the roadside just along from our house. There are other magnificant sites all over the place!

Happy New Year for 2010
Hi there from Waternish on the Isle of Skye, hope that 2010 is a great year for you all.

We've had more snow this winter since Steve and I moved up to Skye 7 years ago and this time it is "sticking" rather than going away again!

We're getting lovely sunny days too at the moment so everywhere looks very magical! This picture is of our home in the snow at the end of 2009. I got a new camera for Christmas (my first digital camera) so I should be able to show you more local pictures on this news area of our web-site.

We look forward to meeting you as our B&B guests this year, as usual, we are open from Easter to October but can welcome you at other times with forward booking.

Hands Across The Water
Steve and Kathie were very pleased to be able to help Gill and Ian Williams (Brae Fasach) preparing for their 650 mile cycle ride from Waternish to Marlow (Buckinghamshire). We donated the use of one of our B&B rooms to two of the people taking part in the Cycle Ride for the Hands Across The Water charity.

We joined other folk from Waternish to wave them all off when the riders departed at 9 am on Saturday July 25th.

Thanks to Steve for the photograph of the "line up" just before they cycled off down to Armadale to catch the ferry to Mallaig.
