July report from Kathie & Steve
posted: 1st July 2011
And now we are into July already!

The sun is out warming the air up, the gardens and hedgerows are green and growing and the place is full of baby animals. Lambs and calves in the fields and on the moor, baby bunnies and hares running about on the roads. Please give way to all of these, the bunnies race around in circles before deciding which way to finally run, and the hares just seem to run along the road in front of you until they find a favorite place to dive through a hedge! We are enjoying watching lots of baby birds on our bird feeders in the garden.

Hope to see some of you here this year.

Spring and pictures

Hello to you all, welcome to our news. We are emerging from another cold winter - much the same as the rest of Britain - hope that you all survived OK.
We have added a gallery to our web-site, we have just been putting pictures up there. Please take a look to get an idea of what the area looks like.
I have seen the first primrose along the road already.

Hands Across The Water
Steve and Kathie were very pleased to be able to help Gill and Ian Williams (Brae Fasach) preparing for their 650 mile cycle ride from Waternish to Marlow (Buckinghamshire). We donated the use of one of our B&B rooms to two of the people taking part in the Cycle Ride for the Hands Across The Water charity.

We joined other folk from Waternish to wave them all off when the riders departed at 9 am on Saturday July 25th.

Thanks to Steve for the photograph of the "line up" just before they cycled off down to Armadale to catch the ferry to Mallaig.

Please go to http://handsacrossthewater.org.uk to read more details.
